Groups that use Camp Oliver enjoy the privacy and peace of having the camp entirely to themselves. While at our camp you will not share our facilities with other groups and you have the freedom to cook your own food for your group using our kitchen stocked with all cooking and serving utensils. Run your own activities and program at the pace you chose in a rustic and natural environment.
Camp Oliver's facilities:
Camp Oliver is a rustic camp, reminiscent of summer camp, with bunk beds, wood everywhere with an old fashion atmosphere.
We can accommodate up to 110 people in 6 cabins that hold 16 people each, a private cabin that will sleep up to 7 people* and 4 other private rooms that will sleep 2 people each*.
Hike up our own Mt. Oliver to a spectacular view of Descanso Valley and the Sweetwater River.
Swimming pool available. (Extra fee and certified Lifeguard required if minors are swimming)
Two indoor meeting rooms are at your disposal, one of which sports a large fire pit and the other a small lounge.
Archery and Low Ropes Course*. (Licensed Facilitator and fee required)
Basket ball and volleyball courts and balls, indoor and outdoor fire rings available at no charge.
Surrounded by 22 acres of peace and nature, you can take time to focus on your spiritual center.

Camp Oliver requirements for use:
Camp Oliver requires a non-refundable deposit ($600 for 40 or more people) to hold your spot on our calendar. Deposit will go towards your overall balance minus any damage to Camp Oliver equipment or property.
CANCELATION POLICY: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ARE EITHER FAMILAR WITH CAMP OLIVER OR COME TO CAMP FOR A TOUR BEFORE YOUR GROUP PAYS THE DEPOSIT AND SIGNS THE CONTRACT. THE DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE AND WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT CAMP OLIVER IS THE CAMP FOR YOUR GROUP.
Camp Oliver requires a $200 cleaning deposit. Groups must clean areas they used and put furniture back before they leave. Camp staff will do a walk through of camp when your group arrives with the group leader and again before you leave for inspection of camp, if clean up was satisfactory your cleaning deposit will be returned. Please organize your group for cleaning assignments and make sure you plan for time to clean. (please see contract for details).
Proof of insurance is required. A certificate of insurance, naming Camp Oliver and the Sisters of Social Service as an additional insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence, MUST be received by our office before your arrival at camp.
Arrival Report Form. This form is needed before group arrives at camp and lets us know what areas will be used, time of your arrival and departure and how many people will participate.

To be in compliance with San Diego County Health Laws, all participants that are involved with cooking, serving or cleaning in the Camp Oliver kitchen must either have a current San Diego Food Handler Card or bring a copy of the food handler test to camp for review by the Camp Oliver Food Manager. Please see study manual and test below. Please call Camp Oliver if you have any questions.
We are closed the week of Christmas. Please note that our area can experience snow and strong Santa Ana winds at times.
If your group is planning on using the Camp Oliver Pool. Please note that there is a fee of $100 per day for pool use. Also, if you have minors (under 18 years old) swimming in your group, you will need to provide a certified Lifeguard. Proof of certification required. We do not require a Lifeguard for adult swimmers however, please note that there will be no Lifeguard on duty, you must sign a waiver and pool use is at your own risk.
